Teen Boy Shot And Killed In Fort Washington Apartment, Police Say

A 16-year-old boy was found shot to death in a Fort Washington apartment late on Monday afternoon, the Prince George's County Police Department announced.

The teen's body was found in the 8300 block of Indian Head Highway in Fort Washington.

Elijah Fletcher, of Fort Washington, has been identified by officials as the victim who was found dead inside an apartment building on Indian Head Highway.

Officers were called at around 5:40 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 9 to the 8300 block of Indian Head Highway, where there was a reported shooting.

Once at the apartment complex, they found Fletcher suffering from gunshot wounds and he was pronounced dead inside one of the units by first responders.

Now detectives are working to determine a possible motive and identify a suspect.

The fatal shooting remains under investigation.
